This notification fulfills Condition 2 on page 2 of the Department’s July 31st letter. Please note that, as required in the Department’s July 31st letter, Georgia-Pacific LLC must test the effluent from Outfall 001 for Dissolved Iron and Total Iron once per week until both trials have been completed. After both trials have been completed, the results of the trials must be submitted to the Department. As indicated in the request, the maximum dosage will not exceed 30 ppm. It is expected that this treatment will reduce intermittent sublethal toxicity effects, as well as remove excess phosphorus at the end of the aeration basin. Dissolved Iron and Total Iron will be tested weekly at Outfall 001 for the duration of the trials to ensure that the dosage is optimized.
